ALW is located in Nebraska. You'll get to know the staff and they will get to know you. You can come to the office and even contact local families about their experience with us. When making decisions concerning your adoption journey, putting so much money, emotion, and time into the hands of someone you have never met can be very scary. It is also very unneccessary! We are knowledgeable adoption professionals ready to walk beside you toward your child.

ALW has successful programs both domestically and internationally. We have placed over 1,500 children since 1993 and are well versed in the complexities of adoption laws as well as the emotional needs of adoptive families. We currently work in the three leading international countries – China, Haiti, and Guatemala.

You can meet and talk to other families who have used or are using ALW's services in bringing their child(ren) home. Various support groups are available as well.

ALW will be here to support you in the future if the need should arise. ALW has a well-established Pre and Post Adoptive Placement therapy program with skilled professional staff trained to support and assist families and their children in the adjustments to adoption.

Our director has spent over a decade immersed in international and domestic adoption. Our staff has traveled to international, national and local conferences and served on committees that helped shape national and local trends in adoption.
International adoption is a very complex process. We know the numerous details involved in International Adoptions. We are well versed Immigration and Naturalization Services' requirements as well as the requirements of the five countries from which we place adoptive children. Because we work with multiple countries, if the adoption programs in your chosen country should "close," you may be able to switch to another country program. We have traveled to third world countries to visit the children and provide support and assistance in orphanages.

With regard to Domestic Adoptions, our staff is among the leaders in the open adoption community. They have dedicated their careers to empowering birth parents, advocating for open adoption and have provided services to adoptive parents, birth parents and adoptees for years.
