Become A Volunteer Family Recruiter!
ALW needs your help to recruit new adoptive parents. We are initiating a grass-roots approach to educating the community about the need for adoptive parents. There are two ways in which you can volunteer:

I. Take a Pledge and Pass It On. Make this Pledge: "I pledge to think of four families I believe would make excellent adoptive parents, talk with them about the serious need for adoptive families, and present them with an ALW brochure." Volunteers will be given four brochures. When your brochures are gone - your job is done.

2. Sign of Commitment to Waiting Children. ALW will provide each Volunteer Family Recruiter with 3 yard signs which say "It's time to Consider Adoption!" The signs (similar in size to a real estate sign) will be simple, tasteful, and will communicate the need for adoptive parents. We ask the Volunteer Family Recruiter to post the signs in their yard (and/or their neighbors yard-with permission) for at least one month. When you have completed your rotation, please clean them up and return them to ALW for the next volunteer. To be an Volunteer Family Recruiter, call Cheryl (402) 556-2367.

Fandango a Great Success!

Adoption Links Worldwide's' Fandango was held Friday, January 18th at the DC Centre. Over 200 people celebrated an "Under the Big Top" circus theme.  Over $80,000 was raised at the event.

Honorary Chairmen were Jennifer and Dan Hamann.  Event chairman was Marietta Luellen.  Featured speakers were Kathy & Kevin Dinkel who spoke about the wonderful way adoption has affected their family.

A fun and successful auction, featuring auctioneer Jeff Post, included trips, catered meals, and a “fund a family” donation segment.

Since 1993, Adoption Links Worldwide, an Omaha-based, not-for-profit child placing agency, has been dedicated to finding permanent homes for children.  The agency coordinates foster-child, international, and infant adoption and links children who are in need of a permanent home with families whose dream is to connect with these children.  Providing therapy services to children and families dealing with issues of loss and grief, and giving humanitarian aid to orphanages abroad are also a part of the Adoption Links Worldwide mission.
