What Do I Do Next?
Successful Adoptions Aren't Accidental
Successful adoptions happen because adoptive parents were committed to learning about the lifetime issues in adoption. All children who were adopted have issues of loss and grief. Often, the extent to which those issues become more severe correlates with how well the adoptive family helps their child deal with loss.

The services provided by Adoption Links Worldwide are designed to help support and educate families at any stage of adoption ... from families trying to decide if they are ready to begin the adoption process to those with older adopted children who are struggling with identity.

Seeking services following an adoption can often be very difficult for families. Parenting is difficult, especially if you are doing it right! When families add variables like adoption or trans-racial issues, it only makes sense that our children will have more to cope with. We spent months telling you, "You can do it, you're going to be a great parent." We still believe that is true! We are here to help you.
Post Adoption Services
Families can seek consultation after the adoption when concern arises about their children and family (attachment issues, behavior concerns, direction in how to talk to their children about their adoption story, etc..)  Our experienced adoption specialists regularly consult with families about these issues.  The fee for this service is $50/hour.  If during the course of consultation, the adoption specialist and supervisor of the program determine that the issues warrant a referral to a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner for therapy services, this referral is made.  Consultation is intended to be short term and not in lieu of therapy services. For more information about post adoption services contact the Director of Social Services.

Therapy Services
Experienced Licensed Mental Health Practitioners who understand the issues of adoption offer therapy services.  These services are offered to all members of the adoption triad: birth family, adoptive family, and the adoptee.  These services are offered at $100.00/hour and Adoption Links Worldwide accepts many major insurance providers for this service.
