Making the decision in the privacy of your own home or heart that you want to adopt a child is, in and of itself, a big decision. Making that first phone call to an agency often makes families feel vulnerable. After all, now that you have decided to adopt, the fear of being "rejected" by an agency seem all too scary. What are we looking for in adoptive families?

	You may be married for at least 1 year.
	You may be single.
	You may be parenting other birth, adopted or foster children.
	You may be childless.
	You may be of a different religion than your spouse.
	You may be celebrating your 25th wedding anniversary.
	You may be in your second marriage.
	You may be between 23 and 55 years of age.
	You may be older than 55 and considering an older school-age child.
	You may be an excellent candidate as an adoptive parent!
